In a world that moves at an ever-accelerating pace, finding a moment for yourself can seem like a daunting task. Douglas is on a mission to create experiences that are cost-effective, simple to do, and foster a long-lasting connection to yourself and the natural world.
Born and raised on a farm in Scotland, he has long experienced firsthand the benefits of being outdoors. Through his travels and studies, Douglas has amassed a wealth of tools and knowledge to slow down his busy, creative mind and to step more gently in time with nature.
After graduating with a BA in Audio Engineering, Douglas taught at the prestigious School of Audio Engineering in Melbourne, Australia, where he first learned the pride and purpose of supporting others in their creative journeys.
Passionate about nature, he spent many years documenting the benefits of our connection to nature through photography and filmmaking.
It was through these years that he was first introduced to the work of Qigong.
A new love was formed where meditation, movement, and the natural world were combined.
After settling back in Scotland, Douglas furthered his love of sound by studying Integral Sound Healing with both Tibetan bowls and gongs, and nourished his passions for teaching and the natural world by completing the Educating for Sustainability course at Green School Bali.
Douglas's life has not been without its struggles, and like many, this has forced him to think deeply about his place in the world and where he can add value to the greater community.
Qigong, mindfulness, and sound experiences, along with adventures in nature, are the cornerstones of his passions and teachings.
Forever a student himself, Douglas is on a mission of individual growth that will effect positive change in the world.
